Professional Employment Survey of Behaviour Analysis Practitioners in Canada

Dear colleagues,

We are inviting you to participate in a research project led by Marc Lanovaz, Professor at the School of Psychoeducation of the University of Montreal, on the employment practices of behaviour analysis practitioners in Canada. The purpose of the current study is to investigate the employment practices of behaviour analysis practitioners in Canada. The results of this study will inform behaviour analysts, policy makers, students, and those considering a career in behaviour analysis about common practices, employment prospects, and earning potential in their province and across Canada.

If you accept to participate in this research project, you will be asked to complete an online survey via LimeSurvey by providing sociodemographic information about yourself and responding to questions about your employment status, income, area of practice, and other details related to practicing behaviour analysis in Canada. We expect your participation to take no more than 15 minutes.

Although researchers have conducted several surveys about the employment practices of behaviour analysis practitioners in the US (e.g., Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, 2015; Behavior Analyst Certification Board, 2020; Johnson, 2009), comparable studies have not been conducted in Canada. Your participation in the current study would contribute to providing valuable information about employment practices in Canadian settings. This research project was approved by the Education and Psychology Research Ethics Board at the University of Montreal.
